Tomorrow is the 1st day of school and I am so excited! The classroom is looking great with lots of space for students to move around and feel comfortable in. I am anxious to hear their comments about the room since they had always come to me for Technology but will now be joining on this fantastic journey. |
The robots are out and ready to greet the students and the 3D Cube printer looks so cool. I am hoping that when things get a little more in control, I will finally be able to give the printer a test drive!
It has been a long summer working on the curriculum for the program and trying to think of ways that each and every project will engage the students so much that they don't even realize that they are actually learning something while we play and explore. I will know that I have done my job if after every class, they walk away excited with what they have learned and ready to try something new that expands on what we did. If I can just get a student to say, "Mrs. Whittle, you know how we learned this... Well, I went home and did this and it was so cool!" I will know that I have been successful. After all, isn't this what STEM is all about? Bring on the students!!!
